According to information revealed by famous sports media Goal, Heinz Rummenigge, president of Bayern Munich indicated that, Bayern is looking forward to signing a Chinese player in future transfer markets.
Chinese player Zhang Xizhe joined Wolfsburg last year. Though he didn’t attend any match officially yet, this still attracted attentions of many Chinese football fans. In return, the huge Chinese market also offers Wolfsburg many business opportunities. Just a few days ago, a Chinese group reached strategic partnership with Wolfsburg.
The strength of Bayern soared rapidly in recent years. Besides athletic achievements, the team also got many highlights on commercial developments. Based on previous news reported by media, the next strategy of Bayern is to expand its market in China and the US. Therefore, to introduce players from these two countries will be the most efficient way to achieve that goal. Not only that, the fact that Wolfsburg’s popularity was largely increased after the purchase of Zhang Xizhe is also appealing to Bayern.
Recently when interviewed by reporters, Heinz Rummenigge expressed that Chinese players will be introduced. “The Club has been looking for excellent players around the world, but in my opinion, it will be quite good to introduce players from China and the US.”
