SPORTACCORD 2024 INSIGHTS: Sport’s Perfect Storm

The General Administration of Sports published the 2019 budget on April 2 with their budget for revenue being CNY9.425bn and the budget for spending, CNY9.346bn.
In 2019, the budgets associated with sports training will be CNY1.459bn which is 18.03% more than 2018.
The budgets for sports communication and collaboration are CNY 443m, 53.59% higher than 2018. The most significant increase will be spent on matters related to Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022 Olympic Games
The budget for overseas business trip has decreased by 63.37% compared with the 2018 figure.
Work related to the Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022 Games are important primary tasks, which is reflected in the budgets.
