FC Barcelona have launched an official Chinese website for the club on March 20, signaling a big move on the digital side to develop their Chinese market.
In addition to the Chinese website, FC Barcelona now have a digital presence on Sina Weibo, WeChat, Douyin and Toutiao.
Decorated in the iconic red and blue colors, the Chinese website is intended to provide more premium and entertaining football content for the club’s Chinese fans. Besides regular content such as news, match results and league ranking of the first team, the club’s digital content team will also provide exciting video content such as interviews and training highlights.
The website also has a section about the Barca Experience Center in Haikou posting updates about the only exhibition center FC Barcelona have set up overseas outside of Spain.
In the future, the club plans to add more interactive sections on the website as well, such as membership, quizzes, competitions and activities where participants can win rewards.
