Li Na, the most successful Chinese women’s tennis legend, will be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame along with two other tennis players, France’s Mary Pierce, and Russia’s Yevgeny Kafelnikov. The induction ceremony will be held in July in Newport, USA, with a special celebration ceremony to be held in Rod Laver Arena at the Australian Open on January 23.
Li Na is one of the most famous tennis players in China, whose achievements in tennis have not been matched or surpassed by other tennis players in China. She won two Grand Slams singles champions, one at the French Open and one at the Australian Open, and reached a career high world No. 2.
The success of Li Na has contributed to the development of Chinese people’s interest in tennis and Li Na herself also opened a tennis academy brand to develop young tennis players.
