China Taiping Insurance to sponsor L’étape Beijing by Le Tour de France

Chinese insurance company China Taiping has become the Presenting Partner of the 2018 L’étape Beijing by Le Tour de France. The news was announced this week. 

The 2018 L’étape Beijing by Le Tour de France presented by China Taiping will take place in Huairou, Beijing on October 20 and 21, marking the first time the L’étape is to be held in the capital city. The previous two L’étape events in China took place in Changsha and Shanghai. 

China Taiping is the exclusive sponsor of the 2018 L’étape Beijing. Its subsidiary, Taiping General Insurance Co., Ltd will provide comprehensive support services for the event. The brand will also enter a cycling team of employees to participate in the event as well. 

In addition to sponsoring the 2018 L’étape Beijing, China Taiping and its subsidiaries have provided services to other sports events, for example, the 2017 China-Asean International Marathon, the 2016 and 2017 Guangzhou Marathon, the 2014 Shanghai International Marathon, the Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix and many others. 

China Taiping is one of the four largest state-owned financial and insurance groups in China. It has been managed by the central government since 2012 and is headquartered in Hong Kong.
