The Chinese Super League recently signed an exclusive official trading card partner, CHNCARD, to develop and operate the league’s official trading cards. This is the first time that the current Chinese Super League will have official trading cards and also the first time in 17 years that any Chinese football league will start to have official trading cards.
This year, also marks the 15th anniversary of the CSL. CHNCARD will launch the first set of official CSL players trading cards in September. The partnership signals the upward trend of football leagues in China, and the trading card is an important by-product for football fans.
CNHCARD was founded in March 2016 by a group of veterans in the sports and media industry, including current CSL player, Yu Hanchao from Guangzhou Evergrande FC. The company’s profile on its official website shows that it is dedicated to developing, manufacturing and selling trading cards for sports events, clubs and sports stars and aims to be the No. 1 Chinese brand for trading cards.
Online public information shows that CHNCARD has just signed a 4-year partnership with the China Football Industry Development Corporation as the exclusive trading card partner of the CFA Team China in Mainland China. The first set of trading cards for Team China will launch in July.
