Arsenal and France legend Thierry Henry has been named as the official ambassador of Vatti, a Chinese kitchen appliance manufacturer.
At 8 pm May 17 (Beijing Time), Vatti hosted a live stream on yizhibo.com, where the former France striker prepared some dishes and shared some of his cooking experiences with Chinese fans, drawing in more than 7 million views that evening.
Henry played football at Arsenal for eight years before joining Barcelona in 2007 and is one of the players credited with helping make the team into a dominant Premier League force in the early 2000s. He also helped France claim titles in both the World Cup and the European Football Championship.
In 2003 and 2004, Henry was named runner-up for the FIFA World Player of the Year and was named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year twice, and the FWA Footballer of the Year three times.
Earlier in March, Vatti signed an agreement to become the Official Partner of the French Men’s National Football Team. The Chinese brand aims to use this deal to expose its brand to a wider range of fans during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
