On March 20, the Chinese Super League outfit, Chongqing SWM announced a deal with the largest local youth training business, Genius Football Academy.
Under this deal, the two sides will seek cooperation in youth training, with Genius-endorsed schools and Youth Training Base branded pitches for Chongqing SWM.
This means that Chongqing is looking to foster Under-7 and Under-12 age group teams, with the aim of helping those teams debut in national events and international invitational tournaments. The club is looking to create a European football environment in China for its development of the first team, the reserve team and different age group teams.
Chongqing SWM also has plans to invite elite European coaching directors for the coach training team at the Academy. Young players are expected to receive professional training, exchange ideas with Chongqing football players as well as have access to a professional career.
Additionally, younger players will also be able to watch Chongqing home matches live, working with Chongqing players as mascots, visit the home of Chongqing SWM and demonstrate their skills on CSL pitches.
