November 19: Chinese Sports drink maker, Jianlibao Group, has launched a soccer youth training camp project in Shenyang City in Liaoning Province.
The 5-year project aims to establish the first non-government run soccer youth training institute in China, with its first-stage camps based in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, Qingdao, Wuhan, Chongqing and Xi’an.
Shenyang Li Tie No.8 Soccer Park, which opened to the public on May 18th, will become the training base in northern China for the project. Before the launch ceremony for the project, coaches have held model clinics for 150 children. At the same time, a friendly game was played between players from the former Jianlibao Youth Soccer Team (1992-1998) and legends from the Liaoning team.
“For years, Jianlibao have been working hard to promote the development of Chinese soccer, especially with youth training,” as Jianlibao President Zhanghua said, “from Jianlibao Youth Training Teams, to Hainan Qiongzhong Women’s Soccer Team, to the youth training camp project, we hope that we can help realize Chinese children’s soccer dreams through our sponsorships.”
