SPORTACCORD confirms Istanbul as Host City for 2025 Convention

On February 2nd, the Winter Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, along with the Chinese Ski Association and the Citic Guoan Group signed a strategic cooperation deal at the Capital Gymnasium in Beijing.
Under the terms of this deal, the three parties will work together in ice and snow sports, ice and snow culture, mass participation winter sports, winter sports industry and international exchanges around winter sports. They aim to help China reach their goal of “300 million people in the ice and snow sports” as well as promote the development of winter sports in country.
The deal also includes the establishment of the national freestyle ski aerial team and the national snowboarding halfpipe team, launch of winter sports-themed carnivals in different places and customized insurance products for the national winter sports players.
The deal was signed after the Citic Guoan Group successfully presented the 2017/18 FIS Freestyle Ski Aerial World Cup and the 2017/18 FIS Freeski & Snowboard Halfpipe World Cup in December 2017. Their cooperation will also create a development model combining government guidance, social coordination and mass participation.
In January 2017, the Citic Guoan Group also named Guoan Sports as its international sports industry platform. As of now, the sports company has held the 2017 Guoan Cup China Ski Elite Tournament, the Elite 12 Basketball Invitation Event, the Guoan Football Summer Camp, LaLiga club football youth training projects and other youth sports activities.
