Alisports, together with the National Youth Campus Football Work Leading Group Office, the Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC) and the China School Sports Federation (CSSF), has made an announcement to launch a new national youth campus football league, upgrading the original youth football league systems in China.
The new league combines the original China University Football Association league (CUFA), the China High School Football League (CHSFL) and the China Middle School Football Championships to form one youth football events system. The original CUFA becomes National Youth Campus Football League (University Group) and would still use CUFA as its short name.
The 2018 CUFA tournament officially started on January 27th in Shanghai City.
The CUFA, formerly known as China University Football League, is a national university football tournament co-founded in 2000 by the FUSC and the Chinese Football Association (CFA).
This year’s event, expected to have more than 38.6 million college students from 33 special administrative regions including Hong Kong and Macau, will attract over 1,400 men’s and women’s football teams from more than 1,000 universities.
Back in November 2017, Alisports reached a ten-year operation partnership with the FUSC and the CSSF to run campus sports event together.
As the exclusive operation partner of the tournament, Alisports is looking to use their internet and digital experiences, including updates of players and events, media broadcast, and real-time online quizzes to turn the CUFA into a high-level football event.
