The United States Tops Skema Publika's First Annual Sport and Soft Power Ranking

The Third China Sports Industry Value Innovation Forum and The First National Sports Economy and Value Management Conference were held in the Beijing Sport University on Saturday January 6, 2018. The forum was organized by the China Sports Economy and Value Management Society, a unit of the Chinese Society of Technology Economics and China Sports Industry Value Innovation Association.
The forum was the third edition of the event with the previous two editions held in the Bird’s Nest in 2016 and in the Beijing Sport University in 2015. This year also saw the addition and creation of the First National Sports Economy and Value Management Conference, an academic conference held alongside the forum, for academics and students to discuss the latest research results and papers focusing on sports economy innovation.
The main theme of this year’s forum and conference was the innovation of the sports industry supply chain. While the conference received and approved 132 academic papers associated with the topic, the forum presented enlightening and interesting best practices and insights around this topic from key decision makers and stakeholders in the Chinese sports industry.
The forum describes its role as a platform “to exploit the value of sports and drive the development of the industry”.
In the morning sessions of The Third China Sports Industry Value Innovation Forum, top management from organizations and enterprises such as Beijing Design Week, Sport 8, China International Engineering Consulting Corporation, Ltd., ChinaFit, Mitime Motorsports, Yutang Sports, Irena, CCTV Sports and Entertainment Co., Ltd, Federation of University Sports of China, Yingde Sports and others made speeches. Professor Xiao Shuhong from the Beijing Sport University, who is also one of the founders of the China Sports Industry Value Innovation Association, made the keynote speech ‘Supply Chain Innovation and the Future of Chinese Sports Industry’ to kick off the forum sessions.
In the afternoon sessions, leaders from Vango Sports, SECA, Hosa, Mountaineering Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, 361˚, Runnar and others shared best practice experience in their businesses and their thoughts about the industry.
The day also witnessed the addition of many of the enterprises above signing up as new members of the China Sports Industry Value Innovation Association.
