SPORTACCORD 2024 INSIGHTS: Sport’s Perfect Storm
23 May 2024 14:34
Logistics giant DHL has extended a three-year deal with China’s top-tier club soccer competition, the Chinese Super League (CSL). In 2014, DHL and the CSL agreed on a major sponsorship package in place from 2014 through 2017.
The extension, expected to run through the 2018-2020 seasons, will see DHL continue its brand exposure at CSL stadiums and on the pitch during league games. The companies have not yet disclosed the financial terms of the extension.
In December 2017, the CSL released a new four-year sponsorship plan, which classifies the sponsorships into three levels including, Official Title Sponsor, Official Partner and Official Supplier.
To protect the exclusive rights of its current sponsors, the league says it will not consider any deals from several industries including express logistics.
The CSL Company is now looking for Official Partners and Official Suppliers for the Chinese top-tier football league for the next 4 seasons.
