The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) is to broadcast the Chinese Super League (CSL) for the rest of the season, according to a Xinhua report.
Meanwhile, the GBC will also show the upcoming German Bundesliga and the Italian Serie A to their viewing public every weekend.
George Lomotey, Channel Manager of GTV Sports plus, said GBC is committed to providing more airtime for exciting sporting events to help grow its viewership.
"Ghanaians are enthusiastic about watching beautiful football when the new soccer season gets underway in a few days," Lomotey said.
This news follows Pay-TV channel Sky Sports’ acquisition of the broadcasting rights to the CSL for the next three seasons.
The CSL has drawn great interest from soccer fans in Ghana after Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan moved from Al Ain in the United Arabs Emirates to Shanghai SIPG on a two-year contract in 2015.
