Greenland Financial Holdings Group, the subsidiary company of Greenland Group, has announced that it will acquire 50% shares of 上海鹏塔网络科技有限公司 (literally translated as Shanghai Pengta Network Technology Co., Ltd) for RMB 60m.
Included in the Shanghai Pengta portfolio is a cluster of eSports experience centers, called Amazing Centers in China, for which its flagship center has been in operation for the past 10 months. Through this partnership with Greenland Group, Shanghai Pengta will construct and operate professional eSports venues and introduce eSports events.
Greenland Group has also announced that it will work with Shanghai Pengta to build a new eSports venue in Shanghai, which is expected to be the largest eSports venue in China. Media reports have said that this venue is a blueprint for Greenland’s eSports town project which is still currently under planning.
This acquisition will also benefit Greenland’s new apartment project. Last year, Greenland released a new type of apartment featuring eSports characteristics, especially for younger people. The eSports resources of Shanghai Pengta and its Amazing Centers will provide great support to Greenland’s new apartments.
