Future of Sport: A Global Sports Week x Viva Technology Collaboration, Will Open in June 14

It has been confirmed that Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, will be the host city of the National Games of the People’s Republic of China in 2021. Recently, Xi’an launched the Xi’an Olympic Sports Center project which will become one of 50 stadiums and venues the local government of Shaanxi Province has announced to host the 2021 National Games.
It is reported that the Xi’an Olympic Sports Center project will cover an area of nearly 400 hectares with a total floor area of 20 hectares. This project will feature a 60,000-seater stadium and another venue capable of holding 18,000 spectators, as well as a 4,000-seater swimming arena.
With these facilities the center will be able to host the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2021 National Games, as well as events covering athletics, gymnastics, swimming and diving.
Additionally, an athletes’ village, a municipal sports training center as well as a sports town will also be integrated into the Xi’an Olympic Sports Center. With a total investment of RMB 26 billion, the construction of the Xi’an Olympic Sports Center is expected to be finished by June, 2020.
