December 14: A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed between the Olympic Organizing Committee for Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games and the Olympic Organizing Committee for the Pyeongchang 2018 Games, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
In front of Chinese President Xi Jinping and South Korean President Moon Jae-in, the MOU was signed by Cai Qi, Chairman of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Organizing Committee and Lee Hee-beom, President of the PyeongChang 2018 Organising Committee. The MOU included the following details:
◆ The Beijing 2018 Olympic Committee will send “Observers” to PyeongChang
◆ The two sides will hold an experience exchanging meeting in June 2018.
◆ The PyeongChang 2018 Organizing Committee will send experts to China.
◆ Chinese cultural performances will be shown at the closing ceremony of PyeongChang 2018.
