December 8: The Chinese Tennis Association (CTA) has inked a 4-year partnership agreement with the tennis equipment brand, HEAD, effective from 2018.
This partnership will see HEAD act as the exclusive official tennis ball provider to CTA tennis events, as well as becoming the exclusive supplier of tennis racket stringing services at those events. Reportedly, this partnership will lead to a win-win situation where CTA events can get in line with international competitions in terms of event equipment and HEAD can promote its brand in the Chinese market.
Currently, HEAD and its subsidiary brand PENN have been named as official tennis ball provider to 5 of the 9 ATP1000 events. At the Indian Wells Masters, Madrid Masters and Paris Masters, HEAD is also the official provider of tennis racket stringing services.
Peter Schott, HEAD’s General Manager of International Trade expressed his delight that the upcoming partnership with the CTA will expand the brand’s tennis services business, as well as help promote the sport of tennis in China.
