Liaoning is planning to set up a three-level soccer youth training model, according to a plan launched at a recent conference hosted by the local sports bureau.
Under the plan, Liaoning will start with the establishment of provincial, municipal and county youth training centers. In the next stage, the training centers will form four provincial teams including U10, U11, U12 and U13, five municipal teams, U8, U9, U10, U11 and U12, and five county teams, U8, U9, U10, U11 and U12.
The province-municipality-county model aims to engage 300 youngsters aged 9 to 13, 600 youngsters aged 9 to 12 and 200 youngsters aged 9 to 12 respectively.
Meanwhile, Liaoning will establish men’s and women’s teams for the 2021 National Games. Financial support will also be provided to the youth training centers, sports colleges and amateur clubs that develop outstanding talents.
In addition to this, the local soccer government also has plans to host events like domestic soccer tournaments, international friendlies, youth soccer festivals and family soccer carnivals.
