Huawei signed a two-year partnership with Portuguese football club Benfica recently and became Official Technological Partner of the club.
Huawei will build a Wi-Fi network for 64,000 people at Benfica’s home stadium Estádio da Luz.
CEO of Benfica said that they were very please to start cooperation with Huawei, because this partnership would help improve fans experience at the stadium.
Mr. Ji, CEO of Huawei Portugal and Spain said that this partnership would allow Huawei to collaborate with Bentica for technology development in venue building.
He said that 2015 would witness strategic developments for Huawei. The company would focus on providing innovative ICT solutions and flagship products, to build an innovative and high-quality brand image. They are committed to raising their brand image in Portugal and across Europe, and create new values and new experiences to customers.
Huawei has formed partnerships with a number of European football clubs, including AC Milan, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Vålerenga, Borussia Dortmund.
