Future of Sport: A Global Sports Week x Viva Technology Collaboration, Will Open in June 14

On the eve of the first match of the new season, the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league have revealed the roster of media which has captured the rights to broadcast CBA games in the upcoming season.
For the new season, CCTV-5, the sports channel of CCTV, has bagged the rights to stream the CBA games on both its TV channel and App. According to the 10-year partnership agreement signed by CCTV-5 and the league, CCTV-5 can broadcast two games per round on its TV channel and broadcast another two on its App.
Additionally, CCTV-5’s official Weibo account has also been endowed with the rights to the league’s video clips.
The Chinese sports media giant Tencent Sports has also been listed on the roster by signing a broadcasting agreement with the CBA league for 3 years. For the new season, Tencent Sports has the rights to stream all of the games on their platform.
The league also signed another 3-year broadcasting agreement with zhibo.tv, a sports media platform in China, which will see the platform stream the CBA games on zhibo.tv’s website and App, as well as through their OTT services.
What is worth noting is that Bilibili, the title sponsor of the CBA club Shanghai Sharks, has also become an authorized broadcasting platform of the league for the new season.
