Renmin Sports, a sports media platform of People.cn, has reached a strategic partnership with Jiangsu-based Changao Sports, officially embracing the eSports industry.
The two sides plan to find out a new eSports industry model, combining Renmin Sports media resources with Changao’s capacity for club management, events organization, venue operation and youth training.
Under the terms of their agreement, the eSports club Changao Red Wolf will be renamed as Renmin Changao Red Wolf (PRW).
The Changzhou-based PRW, founded in October 2016, have been named champions of the 2017 National LoL Tournament West China Division, which has made it a professional club in the industry. In June, the PRW raised about 10 million yuan pre-A series round financing.
Changao Sports was also the organizer of the China Master Badminton and the National Men’s Basketball League (Changzhou). It has become a partner of Alisports in June to co-organize road running events in 2018.
