Beijing holds launch ceremony of the 2017 China Footballer of the Year

September 25: The 2017 China Footballer of the Year, presented by Titan Sports Media Group, has been launched Monday in Beijing.

Similar to the FIFA Ballon d'Or, China’s annual award has been supported by Tencent Interactive Entertainment Group (Tencent IEG), the Titan Sports Weekly, the Football Weekly and Titan Plus App.

In addition to the major award, the ceremony will also include awards for Women’s Footballer of the Year, Coach of the Year, Golden Boy of the Year, Futsal Player of the Year, and the Football Social Responsibility Award.

As part of its partnership with Tencent IEG, Titan Sports Media also plans to release a Football eSports Club of the Year and Football eSports Player of the Year awards.

All winners of the awards will be chosen by Chinese sports journalists, coaches and officers under the jurisdiction. 

The shortlists will be announced at the end of the Chinese football league season in the middle of November. The award ceremony will be held in December after the final winners are decided through a voting process.
