Heilongjiang Province, located in northeast China and considered to have the best high-quality winter sports resources, has laid down their goals for their winter sports equipment industry. The Heilongjiang Development and Reform Commission has launched a 5-year plan (2017-2022) for the industry in which their major goals have been prioritized.
According to this plan, they expect to bring to Heilongjiang famous domestic and global winter sports equipment brands and hope to develop some of them into leading brands in China’s winter sports equipment market by 2020. They also plan to establish more than three industrial parks for winter sports equipment in Harbin, Qiqihar and Mudanjiang, including ice and snow sports equipment and other winter sports facilities. They will also feature a winter sports equipment R&D and manufacturing base in Heilongjiang, which is expected to bring in revenues of over RMB 4 billion.
To achieve these goals, the local government of Heilongjiang Province will support these major projects and companies by offering funding, subsidized loans and the efficient use of land resources.
