SportAccord Convention 2026: Event Schedule taking shape in Baku

China’s "Nine-Ball Queen" Pan Xiaoting was unveiled as the ambassador of the CBSA 9-Ball International Open 2017 at a press conference on Tuesday in Shanghai.
Pan has signed an agreement with the event’s operator, Guangzhou UFengSports, which will see the professional pool player attend fan meetings, news conferences and campus campaigns.
The CBSA 9-Ball International Open, hosted by the Management Center of Small Ball Sports of Chinese Sports General Administration and China Billiards and Snooker Association (CBSA), is a ranking tournament of WPA and CBSA.
Wang Tao, General Secretary of the CBSA, has revealed the schedule for the 2017 event, which will be held in Donghai (September 26- October 2), Hongze (November 12-18) and Guangzhou (November 28- December 4).
“As I have been involved in the sport for 20 years, I have seen it my duty to promote the development of 9-Ball. That’s why I’m pleased to become the ambassador of this event.”
Pan is the first-ever female professional pool player from China to play full-time on the Women's Professional Billiard Association (WPBA) tour. Pan's achievements in billiards have made her one of the most famous female athletes in China.
