Soccerex have today confirmed they will be bringing their proven football business platform to China for the first time next year, following the announcement of a four year agreement to host Soccerex China, a new football business event, with the first edition taking place in Shenzhen on 17-18 April 2018.
Delivered in partnership with Chinese event agency, Time Fun Culture and Media Company Ltd (Time Fun), and with the support of both the Shenzhen Football Association and the Shenzhen Municipal Government, Soccerex China will combine a market leading conference programme with an exhibition and a programme of tailored networking events. The forum is expected to attract over 1200 delegates from across China and the rest of the world.
The two day event will showcase the latest expertise and innovations in areas such as football governance, technology and commercial growth. There will be a dedicated conference stream, developed with the support of official media partners Yutang Sports, focusing on football development at youth level to support the objectives of China’s National Football Reform Plan.
With over two decades experience, spanning 40 events across five continents, Soccerex is the world’s most established and widely recognised provider of international football business events. Used by all the industry’s different stakeholder groups and with the institutional support of key bodies such as LaLiga and the English Football League, Soccerex events connect football’s decision makers with the buyers and suppliers that make the industry tick. Soccerex’s Global Convention, taking place this September in Manchester, is supported by regional events which focus on providing expertise and strategic support for local industry needs while providing a gateway for the international business community.
Based in Shenzhen and with a leadership group boasting more than 10 years experience in the sports and media industry, Time Fun are experts in delivering sporting events, exhibitions and theatrical events on a regional, national and international scale.
Located in the Guangdong Province, Shenzhen has become one of the world’s most populous metropolitan areas with a registered population of just under 11m people. The city benefits from good transport links to Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong and was recently selected to host FC Bayern Munich’s match against AC Milan in the International Champion’s Cup.
Commenting on the event announcement, Soccerex Chief Operating Officer, Rita Revie said: “We are all so excited to be taking Soccerex to China at such an important and exciting time in the development of the country’s football industry. Our events have supported the growth of football in territories all around the world and I am confident, through working with our local partners, we can do the same in China”.
More information about Soccerex China and Soccerex’s other upcoming events will be unveiled at the Soccerex Global Convention 2017, 4-6 September, Manchester. For information about the Global Convention and to subscribe to event updates please go to www.soccerex.com.
