Chinese Super League outfit Beijing Sinobo Guoan F.C. announced the launch of their new Under-14 and Under-15 academy teams on Tuesday.
According to a report posted by The Beijing News, the two new teams have selected 36 players from 4 of Beijing Guoan’s youth training partners and have joined forces with Niulanshan First Secondary School to provide a greater educational environment for the players.
The two teams will join the club’s current U16, U18 and U20 set up bringing the total to 5 youth teams within the CSL club. While the club’s management is also looking to set up an established youth training program by adding more teams in the future.
This new move has been promoted by the real estate company Sinobo Group, Guoan’s largest shareholder. The company sees youth training as a very important part of club operations and has moved the club’s training base from Xianghe County, Hebei Province to Shunyi District in Beijing.
Club Director Zhang Zhijun said, “we are looking to partner with European football clubs, to help us introduce overseas training experts and coaches, send young players to training camps abroad and give them access to more resources. ”
