Four organizations have signed an agreement to set up a foundation for Chinese sports towns led by the General Administration of Sport of China. Following a recent notification related to sports towns released by the General Administration of Sport of China, this foundation will offer strong financial support to the sports town industry in China.
This foundation reportedly aims to integrate resources into the construction of sports towns and provide them with strong financial support. Meanwhile, this foundation will also offer a set of solutions regarding the planning, construction and operations of these sports hubs, in order to promote the overall development of sports towns and support mass physical fitness participation in China.
In May 2017, the General Administration of Sport of China unveiled a statement about promoting the construction of sports & recreational towns, which officially kicked off this construction process. The sports town industry is also becoming a promising industryfeaturing the benefits and characteristics of both sports and tourism. Based on these edicts and along with a series of positive policies, this foundation will finally kick off another avenue of support for sports towns in China.
