Future of Sport: A Global Sports Week x Viva Technology Collaboration, Will Open in June 14

July 2: On the eve of the 2017 Wimbledon Championships’ first round, the All England Club and Tencent Sports jointly announced that they have inked an exclusive digital media partnership agreement. Following this partnership, the Wimbledon Championships becomes the second Grand Slam tournament on Tencent Sports’ roster, following a similar deal with the French Open.
As the exclusive digital media partner of Wimbledon 2017, Tencent Sports will provide Chinese users with exclusive live streaming of all the matches of Wimbledon 2017 from July 3 to 16. Other exclusive content such as score data, official movies and match previews of Wimbledon 2017 will also be delivered to Chinese users featuring live streaming, on-demand services, video highlights, sidelights and interactive contents. More live games and1080p Full HD videos will be provided to Tencent Sports members.
In the streaming of this years edition of Wimbledon, Tencent Sports has invited famous Chinese sports commentators Zhan Jun and Hu Litao to deliver incisive analysis and comments to the Chinese tennis audience. Former tennis star Li Ting and the first Chinese female tennis player to reach the Wimbledon women’s singles semi-finals, Zheng Jie have also been invited to the Tencent Sports Studio as commentators. It will be Zheng’s commentary debut on this media platform.
