Future of Sport: A Global Sports Week x Viva Technology Collaboration, Will Open in June 14

On March 14, Catalyst Media Group and Relevant Sports announced the match schedule for 2017 International Champions Cup in China (ICC China) in Shanghai. It’s the 3rd consecutive year of the world’s top football clubs to participate in ICC China. AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, FC Bayern, Arsenal FC, and FC Internazionale will compete in four matches in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen & Nanjing in July.
At the press conference, on behalf of each club, Franco Baresi, Lars Ricken, Hasan Salihamidzic, Gilberto Silva and Walter Zenga pulled five crafted swords from a stone simultaneously to announce the official launch of ICC China 2017.
ICC China brings premium football experience for Chinese football fans. It is also a platform for European super clubs to interact with their fans in China.
Patrick Murphy, Chairman and President of Catalyst Media Group said, “Since we brought ICC to China two years ago, we have achieved 91% events brand awareness among Chinese football fans, attracted over 100 million TV viewers and 79 million social media reaches. In 2017, we aim to bring evolution in key areas.”
ICC China has already signed partnership agreement with quite a few partners. Shenzhen-based Kaisa Culture Group will be responsible for the management, promotion, sale and distribution of tickets. Premium global car brand Audi is also a key partner. The other partners include, Der Floor, Emirates and Wuciyuan Herbal Products. In addition, there is also a charity partnership with Neo Online with an activation theme focusing on kids with passion in sports and life.
