National School Football Winter Camp kicks off in Yunnan

The one-week 2016-2017 National Campus Football Winter Camp was launched on Feb. 4th at Kunming Haigeng Physical Training Base, Yunnan Province by National Campus Football Office, Yunnan Education Bureau and Yunnan University.

148 top youth players whose names were nominated for the Squad of the General Camp of the 2016 National School Football Summer Camp and 150 school coaches from 22 provinces nationwide joined the Camp. 

All the youth players were nominated by the 14 sub-camps for their outstanding performances during the 2016 Summer Summer Camp. The 80 players who deliver the highest training & playing levels and comprehensive performance in this Camp will be selected by the joint coaching staff. The selectors will be Zhu Guanghu, former head coach of the Chinese Men’s National Team and a group of foreign coaches from La Liga. The successful players will win the opportunity for a short-term learning & exchange tour abroad during China’s National Day Holiday. They will also receive professional football training during the tour, which is an effort to facilitate international school football exchanges and provide a broader platform for the development of excellent youth players. 

Various aspects of advanced youth training concepts from La Liga will be introduced at this Camp. These will include player selection, training and playing, traditional culture education & coach training, to name but a few.
