According to "RTP" and many other foreign media reports, China CEFC Energy Company Limited has acquired another 20% of shares in Slavia Prague. This means that it now owns 99.964% of the club, while the remaining 0.036 % of shares are owned by the fans. China CEFC Energy Company Limited has now taken control of the club.
The company's spokesman in the Czech Republic has confirmed the acquisition. In December 2015, China CEFC Energy Company Limited acquired 60% of the club shares, when the club was in financial difficulties. After China CEFC Energy Company Limited took charge of the club, Slavia were able to recruit new players. The club finished 5th last season after coming only 11th in the 2014-15 season. This season, Slavia came 3rd in the league, 4 points behind the champions, Pilsen.
China CEFC Energy Company Limited has invested 843 million euros in the Czech Republic. Its business includes aviation, brewing, tourism, media and other industries.
China CEFC Energy Company Limited is principally engaged in energy and finance. In August 2016, the National Federation of Industry and Commerce released "2016 China's top 500 Private Enterprises" list. China CEFC Energy Company Limited ranked 7th. In the same month, China CEFC Energy Company Limited ranked 50th in the "Top 20 Chinese Enterprises 500".
