It is reported that Wanda Group will hold international sports competitions such as Ironman to develop Xi'an toward an international sports city with its international sports competition resources.
On 16th November, the Wanda Group signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with Shaanxi province which requires 103 billion yuan of investments, of which 50 billion yuan is to be used to build a Wanda city in Xi'an. Wanda’s Commerce, Culture, Internet, and Finance Business Groups will carry out comprehensive cooperation with Shanxi province.
IRONMAN 70.3 Xiamen introduced by Wanda to China recently ended. In 2017, IRONMAN70.3 in China will be held in Liuzhou, Qujing and Chongqing. The Ironman competitions would continue to flourish in China and Xi'an would probably become the first city in northwestern China to hold a triathlon.
