On 19th August, LeSports and the Zhangjiakou Municipal Government held a news conference to announce their new strategic partnership. It is reported that LeSports will focus on live broadcast of the events, venue operation and tourism.
Specifically, LeSports will take the advent of their platform to promote the Winter Olympics and provide a live broadcasting and reporting service. As well as this, LeSports will assist the government to bring in more influential international events. As for venue construction, LeSports will play an active role in building a better and more intelligent Olympic venue.
It is the first time for China to hold the Winter Olympics. More than 2.5 million visitors will come to Zhangjiakou for skiing, which is a 31% year-on-year increase. It is hoped this event will encourage around 300 million people to participate in winter sports in the future.
