Interview with Thomas Lund: to follow new trends and bring younger generations to the sport
17 Jun 2024 16:00
Chinese lighting giant Ledman Optoelectronics has acquired the exclusive marketing rights of Newcastle Jets within the Chinese market.
This news follows Ledman CEO Martin Lee’s purchase of the Jets from the Football Federation Australia (FFA) several days ago. Under their partnership, Ledman’s sports arm will support the Australian football club to expand in this country.
The club is expected to visit China for friendly matches against the Chinese Super League clubs as early as this summer.
Currently, Ledman Sports is busy seeking shirt sponsorship for the Jets’ 2016/17 season. In the long run, the lighting group is looking to help the Jets get involved in more fields like commercial sponsorships, youth training, sports agency and sports tourism.
Lee is the president and CEO of Chinese lighting giant Ledman Optoelectronics. Ledman is the owner of Chinese lower-tier club Shenzhen Renren FC and also sponsor of the Chinese Super League and title sponsor for Portugal's second division.
