The Huaan-group Co. Ltd. (based in Tsitsihar) have signed an agreement with Kneissl, an Austrian-based manufacturer of handmade skis, biking & tennis equipment and apparel. The Austrian company has a 150 year history and under the agreement will produce 300,000 high-end carbon framing skis this year. The annual output value is expected to reach RMB one billion.
Under the agreement, the two sides will take full advantage of the high-end technology from Austria and the manufacturing capacity in Tsitsihar.
With unique natural conditions, a big fan base and a long history in ski equipment manufacturing, Tsitsihar are paying a lot of attention to the development of tourism and the ice & snow sports industry so as to meet the increasing needs of ice & snow tourism.
“At present most snow packs gather in Heilongjiang Province and Jilin Province and there is a desperate need for professional equipment. Equipment manufacturers like Kneissl are highly welcomed.” the deputy mayor of Tsitsihar states.
The ice skate blade produced by the Huaan-group used to be famous in China and beyond.
