LeSports has announced a strategic partnership deal with the International Boxing Federation of China (IBF China). The three-sided deal, signed by LeSports, IBF China and its promotor Rejoy Group (Chinese: 瑞怡文化), aims to set up a pay-per-view model for this sport.
Under this deal, LeSports is about to acquire the exclusive rights to global live webcasting of all IBF tournament bouts from 2016 to 2020. The sports company will also become the co-promoter of the 2016 IBF Global Annual Convention and the 2016 IBF World Championship Bout. At the same time, Rejoy Group will be responsible for the promotion of the brand and the operation of the events.
As Liu Jianhong, CCO of Le Sports said, "The IBF is a brilliant boxing brand with great global influence, it has affluent boxer resources with good quality and a great number of appealing events. LeSports is very optimistic about China's professional boxing market.”
