Carlos Wizard Martins, president of Ronaldo soccer academy, said they would seek cooperation with Jack Ma, executive chairman of Alibaba and Michael Yu, Chairman of New Oriental Education & Technology Group to work on the development of Chinese soccer.
Wizard would accompany Ronaldo to visit Beijing recently to attend the opening ceremony of their soccer schools in China. They plan to finalize the cooperation with New Oriental in December and discuss the brand and products promotion of the academy with Alibaba. It is said that the first schools would be founded in a franchising model by cooperating with Chinese public schools and soccer schools.
Early in September, Ronaldo announced that he would open 30 soccer schools in China and train Chinese youngsters with his special method, believing that his understanding of soccer will help China improve its soccer level.
