Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldohas confirmed his official presence on Sina Weibo as he opened an official account on China’s leading social media platform on Monday (16th May).
The Portuguesehas managed to attract over 310,000 followers within two days since he delivered his first ever Sina Weibo posts.
"Hello everyone! It's amazing to find support from all over the world. With this account I hope to be closer to all of you who support me in China. Hope that you enjoy and follow me around here. NI HAO, CHINA!" the 31 years old posted.
It was also noticeable that the three-time FIFA Ballon d’Or winner sent the messages from a Nubia smart phone, suggesting an agreement between him and the Chinese phone maker. There are rumours saying Nubia has confirmed, through internal emails, that Cristiano Ronaldo will be the new face of Nubia.
Prior to his presence on Sina Weibo, Ronaldo has had an accounton Tencent Weibo since September 2011.
