Le Sports announced a strategic deal on Monday for the exclusive media rights to the Chinese University Basketball Association (CUBA), the so-called NCAA Men’s basketball in China.
The deal marks Le Sports turn from its operating partner to its media partner.
Under the agreement, Le sports will be able to exclusively live broadcast the opening games of the Southeast Division, Northeast Division and Northwest Division. In addition the deal will see Le Sports air all live games for the rest of the 2015/2016 season when it comes down to the last 24. This will include the Finals. Audiences can access the CUBA games via PCs, mobile devices and even LeTVs.
CUBA, launched in 1998, is the most popular and engaging college basketball competition in China. The tournament includes over 1,200 teams and over 10,000 participants.
Le Sports last year also agreed a media partnership deal with NCAA’s Pac-12 for the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons.
