Sport8, a Beijing-based company which specialises in soccer education, agreed a strategic partnership with China League One side Qingdao Jonoon FC on Tuesday (22 March).
Under the deal, Sport8 and Qingdao Jonoon will work together to build Jonoon-Sport8 soccer schools alongside soccer bases and soccer parks. The two sides will jointly organize international exhibition matches and exchange activities as well as collaborating on sending players abroad.
The deal will mark Sport8’s entry into professional soccer education from previously training juniors in schools. It will also help Qingdao Jonoon get their academy and youth training programme up and running, through Sport8’s talent pool.
The Chinese Football Association recently announced the CSL and China League One clubs each have to have their complete academy in place by 31 December, 2018.
Sport8 is an online soccer education platform jointly founded by well-known Chinese sports commentator Huang Jianxiang, entrepreneur Bai Qiang and Dutch superstar Wesley Sneijder.
