Sichuan Airline links with CBA club

Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) side Sichuan Whale Basketball Club have recently reached a strategic partnership with Sichuan Airlines, according to many Chinese reports.

The deal will see Sichuan Airlines become the exclusive official flight partner of the Sichuan-based basketball club which has just advanced to the 2015/2016 CBA Playoff semi-finals for the first time. Under the agreement, the flight company will offer air services to team members and staff of Sichuan Whale. In addition to this, the two sides will work together on campaigns to promote both brands.

As West China reported, Sichuan Airlines will explore more opportunities to reach their target customers by associating themselves with more Sichuan-based sports resources.

Sichuan Whale is a CBA team which is based in Sichuan Province, China. The basketball club has just smashed Zhejiang Lions 3-0 in the 2015/2016 CBA Playoff quarter-finals. They will face Xinjiang Flying Tigers in the semi-finals.
