(L to R) José Mourinho, Zhang Dazhong, Jorge Mendes
Jorge Mendes, the world renowned football agent, together with José Mourinho, the famous Portuguese football manager and Jeff Shi, CEO of China-based Foyo, paid a visit yesterday to the home of Ali Sports.
The three sides signed a partnership memo, which will see high-profile players under Mendes’ Gestifute, the Portuguese football agency, launch fan pages on Ali’s sports star platform.
Ali Sports is aiming to launch an intellectual property-centred platform, where users will have access to customized training, franchised goods and interaction with their favorite legends.
Mendes believes that the three-sided partnership will be quite promising. It is expected that efforts will be made to activate these businesses, so as to expand the brand influence of sports idols across the world .
As Zhang Dazhong, CEO of Ali Sports said, this move is certainly a win-win co-operation, considering Ali’s strong user base and Mendes’ impressive stable of coaches and players.
