SportAccord Convention 2026: Event Schedule taking shape in Baku

Leading Chinese sportswear brand, Li-Ning has signed a sponsorship deal with the National Olympic Committee of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The company will provide training and competition wear to Iranian athletes competing at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
At a session held on the morning of Tuesday January 5th, the Chinese sporting goods company Li-Ning was introduced as the sponsor of the Iranian athletes’ outfits for Rio 2016.
The company’s representative in the Middle East stated at the session that “Founded in 1990 by Li Ning, a former Chinese Olympic gymnast, the company has aggressively used sponsorship deals, particularly with athletes and sports teams, both in China and abroad.”
Ghodratollah Shoja, the chief executive of the Chinese company in the Middle East said that “we believe that Iranian athletes deserve the best quality after having accomplished astonishing achievements in various Asian and Olympic events which makes sponsoring their outfits a great honor for Li-Ning. Li-Ning seeks to provide the best apparel with the desired quality for the Iranian Olympic convoy.”
