According to several Chinese sources, ANTA Sports, the Chinese branded sportswear company, has completed the acquisition of Sprandi, a Russian manufacturer of outdoor sports products.
It is said that this move reflects Anta’s decision to expand its low-price sports shoe business in China and Russia. Though no financial terms have been disclosed, analysts believe the deal is worth millions of US dollars.
Up to now, there has been no response from the Chinese sportswear brand. But a source has discovered that the official email of Sprandi has been changed to info@anta-sport.ru.
Rumour also has it that ANTA is preparing to acquire Descente, a professional sportswear brand in Japan. This is yet to be confirmed by the Chinese sports company.
ANTA Sports Products Limited is a professional sportswear company headquartered in China. It is involved in the innovation, design, research, development, manufacturing, marketing and retailing of sports equipment.
