The AFA Futsal International Tournament 2015 (FIT) came to a close at the Jiangsu Changshu Sports Center last Sunday. The FIT was organized by the General Administration of Sport, the Chinese Football Association and the local government. The tournament was sponsored by Artston, a local menswear brand founded in 2003.
The three-day game saw the China national futsal team and three international futsal teams from Iran, Mexico and Myanmar battle it out over the course of the weekend. The Iranian national team were crowned winners of the event, followed by the Chinese team.
The China national futsal team represents China in international futsal competitions and is controlled by the Chinese Football Association. They have played in 3 FIFA Futsal World Championships.
Futsal is one of the most popular games around the world. In recent years, the CFA has been promoting the development of futsal in China, which has led to the emergence of the FIT.
