The draw for the 2015 AFC Champions League has been completed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Chinese champions Guangzhou Evergrande fell early in this year's knock-out stage, and they will have another chance to redeem themselves.
Guangzhou Evergrande have to face the Western Sydney Wanderers and a Japanese side in Group H. Their third opponents could be FC Seoul who have to go through the Qualifying play-off. A traditional powerhouse, Seoul reached the semi-finals of this year's AFC Champions League, only to be eliminated by Western Sydney. In 2013, Evergrande beat Seoul in the finals to win their first and only AFC Champions League title.
Meanwhile in Group E, Shandong Luneng's biggest rivals are Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. The two sides played against each other in the group stage in 2011, and Shandong lost both matches.
In the Qualifying play-off, Beijing Guo'an kick off their campaign in Round 3, and their opponents could be Bangkok Glass, Bengaluru of India, or Johor Darul Ta'zim from Malaysia.
Guangzhou R&F, meanwhile, have to start from Round 2. They will face the winners between Yad-an-arbon from Myanmar, and the Warriors from Singapore. If they win, the Guangzhou side will take on Australia's Central Coast Mariners for a spot in the group stage.
