China’s Super Sports, the current rights holder and promoter of the English Premier League in China, is set to host a 38-day EPL-themed carnival in Tinjin, China from December 4th.
In a joint effort with the Aegean Shopping Mall based in Tianjin, Super Sports will hold five week-long themed activities around five EPL giants including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
To engage more with Chinese supporters, the Carnival will also bring together a renowned Chinese EPL commentator and a former EPL legend, according to China News.
As revealed earlier, Super Sports decided to run this campaign in Tianjin because of impressive TV ratings and a large EPL audience located in the Eastern Chinese city.
Super Sport is the exclusive Premier League broadcast rights holder for Mainland China and Macau up until 2018 and has been providing Chinese EPL supporters with full access to all 380 matches per season.
