23 May 2024 14:34
PPTV Sports, one of the leading online sports streaming platforms in China, has reportedly agreed a 5-year deal with UFC for its new digital media rights in Mainland China, according to several Chinese media reports.
The deal, which will commence on next March and run until February 2021, will enable the Shanghai-based company to exclusively broadcast the event in Mainland China, which includes games and programs through live coverage and VOD. However, no financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
As Enorth.com.cn reported, the partnership between the two sides will not only be restricted to broadcast rights, but also will cover event promotions and player trainings.
PPTV Sports has been a long term partner of UFC in China and has repeatedly broadcast live the events on many occasions.
In an open letter, PPTV Sports General Manger Li Dong once said, “We hope PPTV will become the best partner of UFC; PPTV is going to be the home of UFC in China.”
