Letv’s subsidiaries Le Sports and Letv Cloud jointly announced yesterday (November 28) that the sides are set to co-found a sport-related cloud platform.
Le Sports Cloud, as it is named, will be officially unveiled next year, according to the announcement. And the service platform will be accessible to all sports companies and sports consumers.
The to-be-founded Cloud will cover a variety of sport-related sectors, which include contents, hardware, data, services, events and individual consumers.
As revealed, Le Sports will firstly provide sport-related cloud service for individuals in December, which will pave the way for a UGC content platform.
“The basic principle of Le Sports Cloud is full openness. It allows each involving sport company to converge more sports resources through sharing and allows (them) to create leading products that will more significantly meet the demands of the consumers and will help develop sports consumption, jointly setting a new era for Chinese sports industry”, commented Lei Zhenjian, CEO of Le Sports.
